The comments you made in [1] look really good and taking this to full review && approval sounds like a good start. You may want to install the `fedora-review` package providing all basic stuff needed. This is a half-automated tool checking some stuff, but may report false-positives or miss some. It doesn't check everything, so some manual work will be needed either. An introduction about the review process you can find here.
