But actually, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any standard location for
.qm files. To be honest, the real problem is Qt reinventing gettext in the
first place… Most normal software including KDE software installs gettext .mo
files to /usr/share/locale/$LANG/LC_MESSAGES/*.mo, but putting .qm files in
there is probably not that great an idea anyway. And I see that most Qt-only
stuff puts the translations somewhere under %{_datadir}/name. So I guess keep
things the way they are. I think it would theoretically be better to have
something under /use/share/locale (maybe /usr/share/locale/$LANG/QT_MESSAGES or
something like that?), but if only one package uses that, it's not very
helpful.
