It does not recognise xapian versions 1.2.10 or above (see issue 55 (http://code.google.com/p/mu0/issues/detail?id=55). The actual xapian version on Fedora17 is 1.2.12. The same problem prevents building the binary rpm packages on current Fedora17 systems.
