And have you considered filling a RFE for rpm to not strip ocaml software compiled with -custom ? Regarding point 4, that's indeed valid to have that and I will not force you, but that's not convenient for users ( at least for those with a more contrained environment than you and me, for example, in a small vm where parsing a 35 mo xml file can be problematic ). As I doubt the ocaml compiler will move a lot in the future ( or this would break a lot more software than just whenjobs ), I think you could use directly the package without trouble. But again, it is up to you.
