If you try to transcode to flash or H264 then FAAC is needed. If you don't have FAAC installed via gstreamer-plugins-bad-nonfree package from RPM Fusion then there you get a pop up windows asking you if you would like to search for gstreamer faac component that is missing. But there is a bug un that search app because it doesn't find gstreamer-plugins-bad-nonfree.
