Summary: Review Request: hydra - Fast login cracker https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=611328 Summary: Review Request: hydra - Fast login cracker Product: Fedora Version: rawhide Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: medium Priority: low Component: Package Review AssignedTo: nobody@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: haebler@xxxxxxxxx QAContact: extras-qa@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx CC: notting@xxxxxxxxxx, fedora-package-review@xxxxxxxxxx Estimated Hours: 0.0 Classification: Fedora Spec URL: http://sites.google.com/site/haebler/home/fedora/hydra.spec?attredirects=0&d=1 SRPM URL: http://sites.google.com/site/haebler/home/fedora/hydra-5.7-0.fc12.src.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1 Description: Number one of the biggest security holes are passwords, as every password security study shows. Hydra is a parallelized login cracker which supports numerous protocols to attack. New modules are easy to add, beside that, it is flexible and very fast. Currently this tool supports: TELNET, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP-PROXY, SMB, SMBNT, MS-SQL, MYSQL, REXEC, RSH, RLOGIN, CVS, SNMP, SMTP-AUTH, SOCKS5, VNC, POP3, IMAP, NNTP, PCNFS, ICQ, SAP/R3, LDAP2, LDAP3, Postgres, Teamspeak, Cisco auth, Cisco enable, LDAP2, Cisco AAA (incorporated in telnet module). This tool is a proof of concept code, to give researchers and security consultants the possibility to show how easy it would be to gain unauthorized access from remote to a system. Hydra modules not available in this RPM: SVN: Module uses deprecated library calls; SVN also needs APR during build, Hydra's configure script is broken for APR 1.x NCP: Required library is not available in the current Fedora repository SAP/R3: Required library is not available in the current Fedora repository. IMPORTANT: - This is my first package. I am looking for a sponsor. - TIA - I currently don't have hosting space on fedorapeople.org. - The license of Hydra has been changed to GPLv3 in the latest version 5.7!!! This should make Hydra compatible with Fedora licensing requirements. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ package-review mailing list package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/package-review
