The word "for" seems not belong into that sentence and I with that description
I still have no idea what this app is about. How about using something like
this?

<<<----
Gist is a simple way to share snippets and pastes with others. All gists are
git repositories, so they are automatically versioned, forkable and usable as a
git repository.

This package includes a command line utility designed to interface with
github's gist paste website at http://gist.github.com. It allows for posting
new content or viewing previously pasted content. Before using the
application, you have to set up your git config with your GitHub username and
token:
git config --global github.user "your-github-username"
git config --global github.token "your-github-token"

Please don't use "for more information ...." The website hardly has more info
and if we started with this, we could do this for every package.
