Well, I tried using ibus-skk, however - when I enable ibus/ibus-skk (on gedit or firefox or jd) - type "kannji" then each time I type "ka", "nn", "ji" each string is changed immediately to "か" "ん" then "じ", and no kanji conversion by space bar works...
