You've used now:

Obsoletes:      gsynaptics = 0.9.17

which won't work since it will not obsolete the currently installed versions
named like 0.9.16.x . Looks like this was just a typo. Please can you use

Obsoletes:      gsynaptics < 0.9.17

Once this minor change is done, the package can be approved.
