Well, AMD's version seems to be newer (4.2.2.1, assuming they use the same
numbering as open64.net) and it includes the (non-free) ACML libraries in
binary form:
" The libacml_mv runtime library, used automatically for certain optimizations,
 is provided in binary form at this time. The Software License Agreement is
 detailed in the file LICENSE-LIBACML_MV."
