Allowing it to build normally results in a working SB 1.1.1 on F11. Without RPM_OPT_FLAGS: gcc -o host_ifparser.o -c -DXP_UNIX -O3 With RPM_OPT_FLAGS: gcc -o host_ifparser.o -c -DXP_UNIX -Os -g -pipe -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fexceptions -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -m32 -march=i586 -mtune=generic -fasynchronous-unwind-tables Is it mandatory that we build with the RPM_OPT_FLAGS? I'm going to try a few things and see which option is causing the overflow, but it would be much simpler if we didn't have to modify them.
