Summary: Review Request: asterisk - The Open Source PBX https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=178922 ------- Additional Comments From jeff@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 2006-04-24 12:45 EST ------- OK, looking further into the mISDN issue: Do the Fedora kernels have the mISDN kernel modules? If not, it would mean that people would need to manually compile/install the mISDN kernel modules to use the mISDN channel from Asterisk, something that's bound to be error-prone. Looking at the Makefile in channels/misdn in the Asterisk source, there's a "test_preempt" target that checks the kernel config for "CONFIG_DEBUG_SPINLOCK=y", "CONFIG_DEBUG_SPINLOCK_SLEEP=y" and "CONFIG_SMP=y" and also checks to see if GCC v4 is installed. It claims that the mISDN channel won't work if any of these conditions are true. It would appear that for current Fedora development all four of these conditions are true, and for Fedora Core 4 kernels at least 3 of the conditions are true. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
