This is in line with the naming for libraries of other interpreted languages like python, perl and I'm planning to follow this for ghc (Haskell) libraries too. http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/NamingGuidelines#head-e865dfbf5ffb4156a1bdf299ace96f48af903a7a Probably xemacs-<package>, etc is a good convention for XEmacs packages. Traditionally we suffixed with -xemacs in Core, and hence the naming of the elisp packages in Extras that formerly were part of Core.
