-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2024-1b6c90dbe3 2024-11-17 01:19:45.692263 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : apcupsd Product : Fedora 40 Version : 3.14.14 Release : 33.fc40 URL : http://www.apcupsd.com Summary : APC UPS Power Control Daemon Description : Apcupsd can be used for controlling most APC UPSes. During a power failure, apcupsd will inform the users about the power failure and that a shutdown may occur. If power is not restored, a system shutdown will follow when the battery is exausted, a timeout (seconds) expires, or the battery runtime expires based on internal APC calculations determined by power consumption rates. If the power is restored before one of the above shutdown conditions is met, apcupsd will inform users about this fact. Some features depend on what UPS model you have (simple or smart). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: disables no login after power failure -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Fri Nov 8 2024 Germano Massullo <germano.massullo@xxxxxxxxx> - 3.14.14-33 - release bump * Fri Nov 8 2024 Germano Massullo <germano.massullo@xxxxxxxxx> - 3.14.14-32 - release bump * Fri Nov 8 2024 Germano Massullo <germano.massullo@xxxxxxxxx> - 3.14.14-31 - Adds disable_nologin.patch -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #2263467 - battery drained with apcupsd monitoring it locked all users out of system https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2263467 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program.
