-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2024-c20eb4c6f5 2024-10-12 00:17:42.525487 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : libaec Product : Fedora 41 Version : 1.1.3 Release : 1.fc41 URL : https://gitlab.dkrz.de/k202009/libaec Summary : Adaptive Entropy Coding library Description : Libaec provides fast loss-less compression of 1 up to 32 bit wide signed or unsigned integers (samples). The library achieves best results for low entropy data as often encountered in space imaging instrument data or numerical model output from weather or climate simulations. While floating point representations are not directly supported, they can also be efficiently coded by grouping exponents and mantissa. Libaec implements Golomb Rice coding as defined in the Space Data System Standard documents 121.0-B-2 and 120.0-G-2. Libaec includes a free drop-in replacement for the SZIP library (http://www.hdfgroup.org/doc_resource/SZIP). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Version bump to v1.1.3 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Thu Oct 3 2024 Christoph Junghans <junghans@xxxxxxxxx> - 1.1.3-1 - Version bump to v1.1.3 (bug #2270651) * Mon Sep 2 2024 Miroslav Suchý <msuchy@xxxxxxxxxx> - 1.1.2-3 - convert license to SPDX -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #2270651 - libaec-1.1.3 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2270651 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program.
