The Valgrind distribution currently includes six production-quality tools: a memory error detector (memcheck, the default tool), two thread error detectors (helgrind and drd), a cache and branch-prediction profiler (cachegrind), a call-graph generating cache and branch-prediction profiler (callgrind), and a heap profiler (massif). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: New valgrind 3.23.0 upstream release. --track-fds=yes will now also warn about double closing of file descriptors. --track-fds=yes also produces "real" errors now which can be suppressed and work with --error-exitcode. The option --show- error-list=no|yes now accepts a new value all. ARM64 now supports dotprod instructions (sdot/udot). AMD64 better supports code build with -march=x86-64-v3.
