-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2024-7a959bc16d 2024-03-11 01:36:04.155098 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : cyrus-imapd Product : Fedora 39 Version : 3.8.1 Release : 11.fc39 URL : http://www.cyrusimap.org/ Summary : A high-performance email, contacts and calendar server Description : The Cyrus IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) server provides access to personal mail, system-wide bulletin boards, news-feeds, calendar and contacts through the IMAP, JMAP, NNTP, CalDAV and CardDAV protocols. The Cyrus IMAP server is a scalable enterprise groupware system designed for use from small to large enterprise environments using technologies based on well-established Open Standards. A full Cyrus IMAP implementation allows a seamless mail and bulletin board environment to be set up across one or more nodes. It differs from other IMAP server implementations in that it is run on sealed nodes, where users are not normally permitted to log in. The mailbox database is stored in parts of the filesystem that are private to the Cyrus IMAP system. All user access to mail is through software using the IMAP, IMAPS, JMAP, POP3, POP3S, KPOP, CalDAV and/or CardDAV protocols. The private mailbox database design gives the Cyrus IMAP server large advantages in efficiency, scalability, and administratability. Multiple concurrent read/write connections to the same mailbox are permitted. The server supports access control lists on mailboxes and storage quotas on mailbox hierarchies. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: imapd/pop3d crashing on TLS shutdown (rhbz#2256083) cyr_info crashes while printing conf-all/default confugiration (rhbz#2267210) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Fri Mar 1 2024 Martin Osvald <mosvald@xxxxxxxxxx> - 3.8.1-11 - imapd/pop3d crashing on TLS shutdown (rhbz#2256083) - cyr_info crashes while printing conf-all/default confugiration (rhbz#2267210) * Tue Feb 27 2024 Martin Osvald <mosvald@xxxxxxxxxx> - 3.8.1-10 - Do not create mail group to prevent dependency loop (rhbz#2266335) * Wed Jan 31 2024 Pete Walter <pwalter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> - 3.8.1-9 - Rebuild for ICU 74 * Wed Jan 31 2024 Pete Walter <pwalter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> - 3.8.1-8 - Rebuild for ICU 74 * Wed Jan 24 2024 Fedora Release Engineering <releng@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> - 3.8.1-7 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_40_Mass_Rebuild * Fri Jan 19 2024 Fedora Release Engineering <releng@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> - 3.8.1-6 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_40_Mass_Rebuild * Sun Dec 24 2023 Sandro Mani <manisandro@xxxxxxxxx> - 3.8.1-5 - Rebuild (shapelib) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #2256083 - Sporadic segv in imapd after upgrading to FC39 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2256083 [ 2 ] Bug #2267210 - cyrus_info coredumping in 3.8.1 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2267210 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program.
