-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2024-0be6945a10 2024-01-25 00:38:48.211172 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : nickle Product : Fedora 39 Version : 2.97 Release : 1.fc39 URL : https://nickle.org Summary : A programming language-based prototyping environment Description : Nickle is a programming language based prototyping environment with powerful programming and scripting capabilities. Nickle supports a variety of datatypes, especially arbitrary precision numbers. The programming language vaguely resembles C. Some things in C which do not translate easily are different, some design choices have been made differently, and a very few features are simply missing. Nickle provides the functionality of UNIX bc, dc and expr in much-improved form. It is also an ideal environment for prototyping complex algorithms. Nickle's scripting capabilities make it a nice replacement for spreadsheets in some applications, and its numeric features nicely complement the limited numeric functionality of text-oriented languages such as AWK and PERL. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Upstream changelog: * Install benchmark bits * Make sure cross compilation works for NetBSD users. * Clean up some lintian warnings about bench files -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Sun Jan 14 2024 Michel Lind <salimma@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> - 2.97-1 - Update to 2.97 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #2258294 - nickle-2.97 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2258294 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program.
