-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2023-2aae5096fc 2023-11-10 01:43:43.599556 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : mathic Product : Fedora 39 Version : 1.0 Release : 27.20230916.git07e8df4.fc39 URL : https://github.com/Macaulay2/mathic Summary : Data structures for Groebner basis computations Description : Mathic is a C++ library of fast data structures designed for use in Groebner basis computation. This includes data structures for ordering S-pairs, performing divisor queries and ordering polynomial terms during polynomial reduction. With Mathic you get to use highly optimized code with little effort so that you can focus more of your time on whatever part of your Groebner basis implementation that you are interested in. The data structures use templates to allow you to use them with whatever representation of monomials/terms and coefficients that your code uses. In fact the only places where Mathic defines its own monomials/terms is in the test code and example code. Currently only dense representations of terms/monomials are suitable since Mathic will frequently ask "what is the exponent of variable number x in this term/monomial?". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Update `Macaulay2` to 1.22. https://www.macaulay2.com/doc/Macaulay2- 1.22/share/doc/Macaulay2/Macaulay2Doc/html/_changes_cm_sp1.22.html At the same time: - Update `givaro` to 4.2.0: https://github.com/linbox- team/givaro/releases/tag/v4.2.0 - Update `fflas-ffpack` to 2.5.0: https://github.com/linbox-team/fflas-ffpack/releases/tag/v2.5.0 - Update `linbox` to 1.7.0: https://github.com/linbox-team/linbox/releases/tag/v1.7.0 - Update `memtailor`, `mathic`, and `mathicgb` to current snapshots -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Mon Oct 16 2023 Jerry James <loganjerry@xxxxxxxxx> - 1.0-27.20230916.git07e8df4 - Update to latest upstream snapshot -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #2032590 - fflas-ffpack-2.5.0 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2032590 [ 2 ] Bug #2032674 - givaro-4.2.0 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2032674 [ 3 ] Bug #2032716 - linbox-1.7.0 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2032716 [ 4 ] Bug #2171426 - Macaulay2: FTBFS in Fedora rawhide/f38 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2171426 [ 5 ] Bug #2225688 - Macaulay2: FTBFS in Fedora rawhide/f39 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2225688 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program.
