-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2023-0a1b778d9d 2023-04-02 02:00:15.070651 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : golang-github-containerd-ttrpc Product : Fedora 37 Version : 1.2.1 Release : 4.fc37 URL : https://github.com/containerd/ttrpc Summary : GRPC for low-memory environments Description : GRPC for low-memory environments. The existing grpc-go project requires a lot of memory overhead for importing packages and at runtime. While this is great for many services with low density requirements, this can be a problem when running a large number of services on a single machine or on a machine with a small amount of memory. Using the same GRPC definitions, this project reduces the binary size and protocol overhead required. We do this by eliding the net/http, net/http2 and grpc package used by grpc replacing it with a lightweight framing protocol. The result are smaller binaries that use less resident memory with the same ease of use as GRPC. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Update ttrpc to v1.2.1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Thu Jan 19 2023 Fedora Release Engineering <releng@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> - 1.1.0-4 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_38_Mass_Rebuild -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #2176347 - golang-github-containerd-ttrpc-1.2.1 is available https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2176347 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program.
