-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2023-c72c03179a 2023-02-27 02:52:32.727836 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : rasdaemon Product : Fedora 36 Version : 0.6.8 Release : 2.fc36 URL : http://git.infradead.org/users/mchehab/rasdaemon.git Summary : Utility to receive RAS error tracings Description : rasdaemon is a RAS (Reliability, Availability and Serviceability) logging tool. It currently records memory errors, using the EDAC tracing events. EDAC is drivers in the Linux kernel that handle detection of ECC errors from memory controllers for most chipsets on i386 and x86_64 architectures. EDAC drivers for other architectures like arm also exists. This userspace component consists of an init script which makes sure EDAC drivers and DIMM labels are loaded at system startup, as well as an utility for reporting current error counts from the EDAC sysfs files. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Fix a regression affecting Kernels 6.1.0 and upper, as reporter at: https://lore.kernel.org/all/31eb3b12-3350-90a4-a0d9-d1494db7cf74@xxxxxxxxxx/ In practice, it means that Kernels 6.1 to 6.1.11 won't collect data on rasdaemon. Any Kernel newer or older than that should work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Sat Feb 18 2023 Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@xxxxxxxxxx> 0.6.8-2 - Fix a regression with Kernels 6.1.0 and above -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program.
