Name : beep
Product : Fedora 37
Version : 1.4.12
Release : 7.fc37
URL : https://github.com/spkr-beep/beep/
Summary : Beep the PC speaker any number of ways
Description :
Beep allows the user to control the PC speaker with precision,
allowing different sounds to indicate different events. While it
can be run quite happily from the command line, its intended place
of use is within scripts, notifying the user when something
interesting occurs. Of course, it has no notion of what is
interesting, but it is really good at the notifying part.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:

For EL7, this fixes the dependency on `systemd` instead of `systemd-udev` so
that the `beep` package can actually be installed on EL7. For EL8 and EL9, this
makes sure a package update path exists. For EPEL in general, this updates from
upstream `beep-1.4.11` to `beep-1.4.12` which only changes documentation and the
build system, no behaviour. For Fedora, this does not change anything despite
the spec file change affecting EL7, which also needed to be verified.
