The Focusrite Scarlett series is a good balance of budget & quality and works with Linux. There are a handful of models available with different amounts of I/O.

There aren't many because USB 3.0 is overkill for everything but devices

Hi all

Does anyone know of a budget usb 3.0 audio interface? If so, does anyone
know the performance/compatibility with linux?

I've previously only used pci-e, and usb 1.1 seems like really old tech
for this kind of thing.

cheers
