I hope I'd covered everything for this one. I did test it all out
here[1].

I was a bit unsure if the submodule part would scare away users tbh -
quite a few people seem find them complicated to use - but that is
really the best way to go about it at present. Once the newer version
of ghp lands in Fedora, only one repository should be required.

I have a review out[0] for ghp-import, a little utility for managing files across git branches.  Is that the newer ghp you are referring to?
