Re: Magazine content license

Since my first attempt didn't make it to the list,  here it is again (for me anyhow :P)

I think this conversation came up a while ago and fell by the wayside due to a lack of consensus.

An attribution licence has the potential to expand the reach and authority of the site and would the match the wiki (IIRC).

Maybe a broadcast to everyone in the "authors" and above groups would be in order.

+1 to CC-BY-SA

Sounds like a good idea to me. As far as I know, that's fine for all my posts.

Hi all,

Just wondering if it is worth considering making all the content on Fedora Magazine a CC license. (CC-BY-SA maybe?)

At the moment it is not very clear how each post is licensed. Of course, we will need to contact all previous authors to check that this change is OK.

thoughts?

cheers,
