My question to the list is do you have any suggestions / ideas of great
desktop apps in Fedora that could have an app spotlight article? Also if
there is an app that has an upcoming update, it would be great to
showcase that too!

Had another idea. This will likely involve some stuff that isn't GUI - but what if we posted a series of articles about encryption / privacy / etc.? Inspiration could come from this;

Articles in the series could include:

- How to configure Tor on Fedora (and visit the Darknet??)
- How to configure OTR in pidgin (any other apps support it?)
- How to install and use KeePass on Fedora (including any Firefox plugins that might tie into it?) - Set up email encyrption using GPG and Thunderbird (eg http://lifehacker.com/how-to-encrypt-your-email-and-keep-your-conversations-p-1133495744)
- How seahorse works, with a tutorial and a tour of the interface
