Re: 10th Anniversary of the Fedora Project

Hi All,

Just to follow up on Ruth's note, we'll definitely be doing something for both anniversaries, whether a press blog or a full-fledged release is still up in the air. I'm also working on getting us some video assets (in the form of video editing/production) for a series of some kind around/leading up to the Core anniversary. If there are any ideas as to how these should take shape, in terms of content or format, fire away.

Thanks,
John

Just a quick reminder that the next anniversary is approaching fast!

It would be great to get some press around this one since we missed
out on the Fedora Community anniversary. It is less than 4 weeks away
now.
I talked to John Terrill, our new PR contact at Red Hat about this just yesterday. We'll definitely get the word out, but if anybody has ideas for things we can do at this point, speak up! The team originally talked about doing 52 weeks of interviews with Fedorans new and old, but I have no idea where the people who were working on the plan have gone. (Are you there? ...out there? ...out there?) That also may have been overly ambitious. But we could resurrect that plan with the renewed interest in the marketing team, and rather than 52 leading up to the anniversary, we could do one per month during the next year /starting/ with the anniversary. Thoughts?

Ruth
