"The truth is that there is a distro for everyone. If you want some of
the latest technologies, especially in terms of underlying system
code, virtual machines and other of-themoment tech, Fedora is a good
bet. If you want to have a friendlier desktop experience where your
every whim is catered for, Ubuntu would be better for your needs.

And, while we're on the subject, if you want to run KDE, you are
probably better off with OpenSUSE. There are certainly more than
enough Linuxes to go around."
