The ReleaseSummary page is great! The screenshots really add a lot and
make the page interesting.
How about bragging about the new fedorapoeple infrastructure and how
this distinguishes Fedora from other projects at
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/8/ReleaseSummary ? Also talk
about other improvements to our processes and infrastructure project wide?
What about expanding the Release Summary to talk about changes across
the Fedora project... not just what is new with the bits? There are a
lot other things project wide we could trumpet as well--the art process,
docs improvements, infrastructure, release engineering, etc. It could
even be a short summary from each group of what they accomplished during
the F8 cycle.
If we are going to get press attention on release day on this page...
why give the press more things to write about and more insight into all
the great things Fedora is doing in one central page?
And... I realize some in particular are likely to suggest that I do it
all myself because "that is how all this works, etc., etc., etc." :) I
am not able to do it at this time. So if what I am suggesting is is not
possible I understand.
If we planned some of this in advance we could create a serious drum
beat with the press and news outlets for F9--Red Hat Communication said
they would help, but need lead time. This makes me think it would be a
good thing to put on a schedule to remind ourselves to do in advance ;-)
I am able to help with that.
