Now you're spreading misinformation :-)
10 CD is more like to be the 12CD set of ENTIRE Debian distribution. 

Mandriva goes to 6 or 7 only for PowerPacks (the ones you can buy in shops). The Free download edition is composed by 3 cds.
And in those extra packages you get mp3, proprietary videocards driver, RealPlayer, Opera, and drivers for some modems (56k / ISDN / USB ones).

Just for the sake of knowledge ...
