I am not clear on whether this is appropriate to be on the wiki. I think it would be a much better idea to work with Thomas Canniot on a way of creating videos on his favored platform which are not encumbered with the ffmpeg requirement. Although your work is definitely appreciated, this how-to is useless for people who are keeping their Fedora systems clear of non-free software. I would appreciate others' opinions, though, on how we could solve the problem with truly free software. Thomas Canniot is giving generously of his free time to create these videos, so we need to be sure to help him do it as efficiently as possible. -- Paul W.
