GUI frontend for existing command line tools

I want to do some opensource development. I have a good experience with gnome and glade tools. So for starters I want to make a gui frontend for existing command line tools. I am targeting fedora core.

Can you guys suggest me a command line tools in fedora core for which i could make a GUI frontend to make it easier to use ?
