Summary: Review Request: NetworkManager-openvpn https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=175047 ------- Additional Comments From bjohnson@xxxxxxxxxxxx 2006-02-14 13:46 EST ------- I built the rpm from the srpm noted in Comment #9 and installed. When I tried to start the vpn, the vpn was initiated and worked, but I got these messages in my /var/log/messages file: Feb 14 11:40:18 localhost nm-openvpn[2658]: TUN/TAP device tun0 opened Feb 14 11:40:18 localhost nm-openvpn[2658]: /sbin/ip link set dev tun0 up mtu 1500 Feb 14 11:40:18 localhost nm-openvpn[2658]: /sbin/ip addr add dev tun0 local 10.1.1.6 peer 10.1.1.5 Feb 14 11:40:18 localhost nm-openvpn[2658]: /usr/bin/nm-openvpn-service-openvpn-helper tun0 1500 1542 10.1.1.6 10.1.1.5 init Feb 14 11:40:18 localhost NetworkManager: <WARNING> get_dbus_guint32_helper (): Error: couldn't get IP4 VPN Local Netmask from VPN IP Config message. Feb 14 11:40:18 localhost NetworkManager: <WARNING> nm_vpn_service_stage4_ip_config_get (): nm_vpn_service_stage4_ip_config_get(org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.openvpn): did not receive valid IP config information. Even though you can see that the tun was assigned an address (and the remote network was reachable), NetworkManager thinks that it didn't receive valid IP4 information. Because of this, there is no status in NetworkManager that indicates I've connected to a vpn and the disconnect option is not available. I'm not sure if this is a problem with NetworkManager or NetworkManager-openvpn. dbus-0.60-7.2 NetworkManager-0.5.1-12.cvs20060213 I, for one, appreciate this package and would like to see it sponsored and moved forward. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. -- fedora-extras-list mailing list fedora-extras-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-extras-list
