Hi! My name is Martin Scuncia. I'm from Argentina. I'm 20 years old. I'm an engineering student. I had the experience of using several linux distros, like ubuntu, debian, openSUSE. But I'm a fedora fan! Now I'm using Fedora 13 (yes, an old version, hahaha), but soon I will download the Fedora 18.
I never have worked in a linux project.
As an user of several different linux distribution, I was bothered by various bugs. Those bugs allowed me to learn a lot of things, specially solving hardware configuration problems, and working with a lot of important packages. I'm a great fan of the terminal. In some task, like installing software and packages, and working with configuration modules, is a really fast tool; faster than using the gnome. By the way, I prefer a gnome desktop instead of KDE.
I have some skills in networks configuration and administration. I know a little python.
As an aerospacial engineering student, I have  abilities on confectioning technical documentation. My useful social skill for the Docs Project is solidarity. I am always willing to help someone. I wouldn't have learn anything about linux, if someone on the web had not share his knowledge. I want to do the same, working for the documantation project.

Welcome Martin!

You'll want to create an FAS account[1] if you haven't already done so. You'll get a short list of busywork from the signin page there as well.  Let us know your FAS username, and we can sponsor you into the Docs group.  Many of the Docs writers idle in #fedora-docs on freenode, and you're welcome to join us for both for help and to socialize.

If you have an idea of what you'd like to write about, the best approach is to just start writing.  Learning the markup is much easier once  you've got a bunch of copy to work with.  If you need some ideas to get you started, there is a list of bugs filed against the docs[2] or existing guides[3] you could look over.

Whatever you decide to start with, know that we're all here to help and support you.
