git commit --amend --author="..."

That will let you edit the HEAD commit's message and update the author
name/email

if you want to change commits farther back:

1) git rebase -i <first commit to fix>^
2)(1) will pop up an editor, between each picked commit, insert this line:
   x git commit --amend --autor"..."
   see the git-rebase man page for details
3) close the editor
4) Save/exit after each commit pops up.
