We use the Alpha notes to make the Beta notes, then the content is rolled in to the final release notes. Sometimes it's better ot use the common bugs page, or at least to make sure there is a cross-reference from the wiki-based notes to the common bugs when there are common bugs. You are correct, our process content is out of date and inconsistent. I'm Cc:'ing the Docs Project list so that others working on these processes can help get them updated.
