Why? Because of the laws in US? Isn't this similar to issue with
posting source code of DeCSS? Isn't that covered by the 1st amendment
and the freedom of speech?

Valent, because the Fedora Project is hosted, both in terms of software as well as an organization in the US, US laws are in effect and must be followed.
