As leader writer, I proposed that we keep it together, with
cross-links and a clear direction where to go regarding each desktop
manager and what apps are shared in common, such as OpenOffice,org and
Mozilla Firefox.

Let's concentrate on the integrated DUG. Later on, if we want a
tailor-made guide for a given LiveCD, for example, we can excerpt it
from the main guide.

Agreed. The perfect example are the common apps. We might have
something on how to launch them in the common section and point to
that from each desktop manager section - just one approach.
