    The step of sending the pgp you made to MIT is not working as
shown.
It just errors out and you cannot register if that is not working. This
is a MAJOR problem.

Have you tried using Seahorse (graphical interface to manage PGP and
SSH keys)? The documentation covers this method since I updated it,
some weeks ago:

  * http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DocsProject/UsingGpg/CreatingKeys
  * http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/AccountSystem/CLAHowTo

Regards,

   For some reason it worked this morning and it was the problem! I am
now registered in the Doc Group. I think the rest will go faster.

    But then this problem showed up trying to sign my CLA:
[karl@k5di ~]$ gpg -a --sign fedora-icla-karl.txt
gpg: no default secret key: secret key not available
gpg: signing failed: secret key not available
[karl@k5di ~]$

I have no idea how to fix this.

Karl, thanks for your persistence and not leaving :)

No idea about the MIT problem you had, I was lucky and could just
copy+paste the examples and it worked first time.

If gpg -K lists your keys, try running:

gpg --sign fedora-icla-karl.txt

What is the "-a" for? I tried before and it also works on mine, and
asks for a passphrase...

Cheers,

Murray.

Hi Murray it still makes the same error message. I'm using F8 and wonder if that is the key?

[karl@k5di ~]$ gpg --sign fedora-icla-karl.txt
gpg: no default secret key: secret key not available
gpg: signing failed: secret key not available
[karl@k5di ~]$

[karl@k5di ~]$ gpg -K
