You are reporting that something has changed between FC4 and FC5, and as the interested party and expert, please be specific. Quoting information that has been in Fedora Core since FC 1 isn't getting through our thick skulls. We need to know what has changed, how to deal with it, and where to go for more information. I appreciate the report, but unfortunately, I don't have the time or knowledge without further research to understand the problem enough to write up. Here's a template, maybe this can help you get started: "Changes in coreutils in Fedora Core 5 may mean you need to provide specific environment variables for older scripts that use a POSIX in a certain way. [Some detail.] To change one script, do this: * foo To make this change across your entire environment, do this: * bar For more details, refer to the info page on the local system: info coreutils Standards" -- Karsten Wade, RHCE * Sr. Tech Writer * http://people.redhat.com/kwade/ gpg fingerprint: 2680 DBFD D968 3141 0115 5F1B D992 0E06 AD0E 0C41 Content Services Fedora Documentation Project http://www.redhat.com/docs http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DocsProject
