We got this bug filed against the Tour:

The point is, any tours should only show a desktop that came from Core.
Extras is enabled but not as clear to new users, so we would be showing
an application they can't "find" in the Core install, which leads to a
loss of credibility in our tour.
If we have guidelines on this written down already, then link to it from
the tours page for reference. I only used a default desktop for the
screenshots I uploaded but others might not have followed the same rules.
