Hi,

To sync LDAP with a custom backend you can also use the retro
changelog plug-in :
http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/CDS/cli/8.0/Configuration_Command_File_Reference-Plug_in_Implemented_Server_Functionality_Reference-Retro_Changelog_Plug_in_Attributes.html

As for your request to see the csn you can do it (if your user has
enough rights) by looking for nscpEntryWSI attribute. You will have
something like

nscpEntryWSI: ou;121419;vucsn-4b5d82cf000300010000:
ou=dix,ou=dep,ou=dgae,ou=dg,ou=organisation,dc=id,dc=polytechnique,dc=edu
nscpEntryWSI: telephoneNumber;121419;vucsn-4b5d82cf000200010000: +33169339924
nscpEntryWSI: physicalDeliveryOfficeName;121419;vucsn-4b5d82cf000100010000:
7:20-02
nscpEntryWSI: title;121419;vucsn-4b5d82cf000000010000: PERSONNEL
ENSEIGNANT VACATAIRE
nscpEntryWSI: loginShell;adcsn-4b557cb7000000010000;vucsn-4b557cb7000000010000:
/bin/bash
