Hi,

Does this mean the 389 server did not get crashed, but blocked possibly 
by Xen OS?

If it's a Xen issue, you could go to this page,
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedora
then choose "xen" for Component.
