Thanks for taking time to look into my issue.
I suspect this has something to do with

For the first step, take a look at the access log from the
configuration DS beginning from when you launched the console - look
for err=32 in the results.
Just to understand clearly, I have to set up a full DS on my workstation
in order to configure a remote DS?
I am asking this because with DS 1.04, I just installed the rpm package
on my workstation and (simply) used ./startconsole to connect to the
remote DS. No configuration/setup done on the local machine.
I don't mind doing so, just would like to have a better understanding of
what I need to do where.
