The user is added to the database succefully.I can able to see the encrypted password while retrieving it (but i am adding it using the clear text format).

 I want to know how the password is actually stored in the database?

The hashed value is stored (much the same as /etc/passwd).
You can dump the database using db_dump -p (get the right version
for the version of BDB used in your FDS). The primary index is
the file id2entry.db4. That'll show you exactly what's stored.
