The page talks about gdm taking over the existing VT (amongst a sea of other text on the page). I missed the implication when I first read the page (several months ago). Nowhere does it say, "the side effect of this is X will be on tty1 not tty7". > The feature was proposed to FESCo, and approved. I installed it yesterday and noticed the change. This is the first rawhide I've been able to run, been too busy with work. The timing of my email after Will's email is purely coincidence. My email was being written anyway (then edited slightly after I saw Will's email) > Are people not running rawhide and the test releases? I'd like to run rawhide more often and be involved more, currently it is difficult juggling life (a common problem I'm sure).
