Hi, I just built libical 0.40 for F10 (discussed with the libical maintainer already). Rationale: * should be fully API- and ABI-compatible (same sonames), * at least 0.33 will be required to build KDE 4.2 (F10 currently has only 0.32), so upstream KDE developers who work on Fedora have asked us to build a newer version so they can keep working on KDE development on Fedora, * having a version >= 0.33 also allows us to build kdepimlibs 4.1.2 against the system libical (with a patch). There is, however, one minor change: the libicalvcal headers are now under /usr/include/libical along with the other libical headers, not /usr/include/libicalvcal as they used to. It is possible to make compatibility symlinks (of the individual files, not the directory, replacing directories with symlinks is a big no-no with RPM), so should we add them? Or does this change not affect any package anyway? Kevin Kofler -- fedora-devel-list mailing list fedora-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-devel-list
