As a native Arabic speaker I'll tell you
if you keep it the way it's now an Arabic user will see translated
messages from initscripts mirrored to left (imagine your self reading
"Hello, World!" spelled backword)

if you move it to use LANG=en_US.UTF-8 when on vt this will disable
Arabic translated messages and that's very reasonable

I suggested to add rm po/ar.po to %prep of initscripts
but notting's solution is much smarter and it's better

(till some mature functional bidirectional support is introduced to the vt)
