xkeyboard-config 1.4 provides an evdev ruleset that is enforced by the driver.
The evdev model thus isn't a requirement anymore, at least not unless
something changes the rules back to "base". And that's a no-no anyway.

xorg-x11-drv-evdev-2.0.6-2 should work fine now.
