Once TAG_OPTS can be used again, every maintainer who wants to maintain his packages a little bit more efficient can add these two lines to his ~/.cvspkgsrc file[1]: force-tag: $(SPECFILE) $(COMMON_DIR)/branches @$(MAKE) tag TAG_OPTS="-F $(TAG_OPTS)" The using make force-tag will be back again.
